Government Publishes Draft Tenant Fees Bill
At last we have some detail of the forthcoming proposals contained within the draft Tenant Fees Bill. It would appear that the government has listened to some sound common sense and will allow agents/Landlords to take damage deposits up to a maximum of 6 weeks rent. This replaces the 4 weeks originally proposed.
As stated in the name of the Draft bill, tenant fees will be banned once the bill becomes Law which is expected to happen in 2019.
